Thanks to its technical specifications, there is no equivalent to the Optiparts BLACKGOLD? kit.
45µ anodizing for the mast, a choice of three black anodized Optimist booms and three black anodized Optimist 7075 booms also.
All ClamCleats are hard anodized (anti-scratch protection), captive eye straps on the boom and becket pulley.
Set of Vectran ropes guaranteed to have no stretch, Harken ball pulleys and pure Dyneema spliced ropes.
We offer a choice of three booms:
-BLACKGOLD boom? MEDIUM Optimist 40mm (EX940). A rigid and lightweight Optimist pole that is suitable for the majority of sailors.
-BLACKGOLD boom? 45mm POWER Optimist (EX945). A stiffer Optimist boom to maintain more tension on the leech for the heavier sailor.
The smaller bridle gives more space when tacking.
-BLACKMAX boom? 55mm Optimist (EX955). This ultra-rigid and light boom can be used without a pannier. This allows the browser to save time in transfers.
All Optimist Optiparts booms are made from high quality hardened tubing.
They are equipped with straps with eyelets, a nylon protective cleat, an edge gauge, a 4 mm Vectran edge and a Dyneema pannier and downhaul.
The Optiparts 29mm Blackmax racing strap is 19% stiffer than the 27mm Blackgold.
It allows more control over the drop of the sail and is particularly recommended for sailors weighing more than 45 kg.
