Thanks to its technical specifications, there is no equivalent to the OPTIPARTS BLACKGOLD kit.
45µ anodizing for the mast, a choice of three black anodized Optimist booms and three black anodized Optimist 7075 spars.
All ClamCleats are hard anodized (anti-scratch protection), have captive eye straps on the boom and a becket block.
A set of guaranteed zero-stretch Vectran ropes, Harken ball bearing pulleys and pure Dyneema spliced ropes.
We offer a choice of three Booms:
- BLACKGOLD MEDIUM Optimist 40mm boom (EX940). A rigid and lightweight Optimist boom suitable for most sailors.
-45mm BLACKGOLD POWER Optimist boom (EX945). A stiffer Optimist boom to maintain more tension on the leech for the heavier sailor.
The smaller bridle gives more room when tacking.
-55mm BLACKMAX Optimist boom (EX955). This ultra-rigid and lightweight boom can be used without a sternstay. This saves the sailor time when tacking.
All Optimist OPTIPARTS booms are made from high quality tempered tubes.
They are equipped with straps with eyelets, a nylon protective cleat, an outhaul gauge, a 4 mm Vectran outhaul and a Dyneema downhaul and vang.
The OPTIPARTS 29mm Blackmax racing livarde is 19% stiffer than the 27mm Blackgold.
It allows more control over the fall of the sail and is particularly recommended for sailors weighing more than 45 kg.
